For us, one quilt changed our lives forever.
Hi! We're Monica and Eddie, the husband-and-wife team behind The Cotton Quiltery.
Quilting has been part of my family for generations, and I started making quilts about 30 years ago. At that time, I rarely kept what I made—each quilt was a gift for family and friends.
Some quilts keep you warm.
Others become part of your story.
So when Eddie decided to propose, it wasn't anything fancy. Instead, he made me a quilt.
He took me on a picnic, laid the quilt down on the grass, and got down on one knee. He had my ring sewn to the dot in the question mark. #bestproposalever!
More than twenty years later, it's a beautiful reminder that quilts tell stories in a way few other things can.
For many years I quilted on a free-motion longarm while dreaming about one day opening a quilting business. Eddie would often hear me say, "We could do a longarm business." When the opportunity to purchase a computerized longarm unexpectedly came along, it felt like the timing was finally right.
His artistic and tech skills bring talents that perfectly complement my love of quilting. The Cotton Quiltery was born from a love for beautiful quilts and a desire to help others finish the quilts they've poured their hearts into.
The Next Chapter.
We both work part-time so we can devote more time to volunteering and helping others - something near and dear to our heart. When we're not in the studio, you'll probably find us camping, enjoying nature, or spoiling our little pup, Fozzie.
We're honored every time someone trusts us with a quilt.
We hope every stitch helps tell a story that will be loved for generations.
